Sixth Phase Of Lok Sabha Elections: 49.2 Percent Polling Till 3 Pm 

Delhi/Hyderabad, May 25 (Maxim News): Polling for the 6th phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 is going on peacefully on Saturday. Voters are exercising their right to vote in this polling for all 58 Lok Sabha constituencies. In this background, election officials said that 49.2 percent of polling was recorded till 3 pm.

According to the data released by the Central Election Commission, West Bengal recorded the highest turnout of 70.19 percent. After that 54.34 percent polling was recorded in Jharkhand, 45.21 percent in Bihar, 46.26 percent in Haryana, 44.41 percent in Jammu and Kashmir, 44.58 percent in Delhi, 48.44 percent in Odisha and 43.95 percent in Uttar Pradesh. 

Polling for the third phase of the Odisha Assembly elections is also going on today along with the polling for the sixth phase of the Lok Sabha elections. In Odisha, which has a total of 147 assembly seats, polling was held for 105 seats in the first two phases, and polling for the remaining 42 assembly seats is being conducted today.

Similarly, a by-election is also being held for the Gandhi Assembly seat in Jharkhand today.  Former Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren’s wife Kalpana Soren is contesting as a JMM candidate from Gandi.  (Maxim News)
