Solar Power Plants For Women Groups: Bhatti Vikramarka

Hyderabad, Nov 16 (Maxim News): Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that the state government has decided to set up solar power plants for farmers, and the government has decided to give priority to Indira Mahila Shakti Sanghas. Bhatti wished the members of Indira Mahila Shakti to grow as entrepreneurs.

The Deputy Chief Minister ordered full plans. He reviewed the matter with Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Principal Secretary, Energy Department, Lokesh, Panchayat Raj Department Secretary, SERP CEO Divya Devarajan, TRANSCO CMD Krishna Bhaskar, REDCO Vice Chairman, Managing Director Vavilalal Anila and others.

He ordered quick steps for the production of 4 thousand megawatts of solar power in the state.  It has been suggested that the necessary land should be collected and given on lease to the Federations of Self-Help Societies.  he ordered that a meeting be arranged with the bankers for the financial resources required for the purchase of the machines required for solar power generation and arrangements should be made for giving loans.

The members of self-help societies are showing 99 percent progress in loan repayments and bankers are interested in giving loans to them. More schemes such as setting up solar power generation, and providing buses to the RTC so that the members of the self-help groups can grow up as entrepreneurs.  The Deputy CM explained to the officials that it was clear that they would also lend extensively and provide financial incentives.  

Bhatti Vikramarka said that by giving financial support to women’s groups, by training them as entrepreneurs, there will be an opportunity to achieve social change. He said that if self-help societies are financially strengthened, there will be an opportunity for rural women to be economically and socially strengthened.  Taking this program ambitiously, officials of various departments should move forward in coordination.  (Maxim News)
