Sonia Gandhi to Attend Telangana State Formation Day Ceremony as Chief Guest

Hyderabad, May 31 (Maxim News): Congress leader Sonia Gandhi will be the chief guest at the Telangana state formation day ceremony, as revealed by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. The grand celebrations, marking the Telangana Incarnation Decade, will be held on June 2 at 10 am at the parade ground, with additional festivities in the evening.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy personally invited former Chief Minister KCR to attend the festivities. Harkar Venugopal, Adviser of the State Government Protocol Department, and Director Arvind Singh have been tasked with delivering the invitation letter to KCR at his Gajwel Farmhouse.

The celebrations will commence with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy paying tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Telangana state at the Martyrs’ Stupa in Gunpark at 9:30 am on June 2. Following this, at 10 am, the Chief Minister will hoist the national flag at the parade ground, which will feature a police parade, a march past, and a welcome ceremony. The official state anthem will also be unveiled.

Sonia Gandhi will then address the gathering alongside the Chief Minister. The ceremony will conclude with the presentation of awards to police personnel and outstanding employees.

Evening Festivities on Tank Bund:

The Rashtra Awatarana Dasabdi Utsava’s closing ceremonies will begin at 6:30 pm on Tank Bund. The area will host handicrafts, special products, and various food stalls. The Chief Minister will visit the stalls at 6:30 pm, followed by a carnival showcasing Telangana art forms with participation from around 700 artists.

The evening will feature various cultural dance performances lasting 70 minutes on a specially set-up stage. A massive flag walk, involving approximately 5,000 participants carrying national flags, will span the length of Tank Bund, accompanied by the song “Jaya Jayahe Telangana” lasting 13.30 minutes.

Lyricist Andeshree and Music Director Keeravani will be honored during the event. The celebrations will culminate with a ten-minute fireworks display at 8:50 pm. (Maxim News)
