Speaker Schedules Hearing On Kadiyam Srihari Disqualification Plea
Hyderabad, Feb. 3 (Maxim News): The Telangana Assembly Speaker has scheduled a hearing on the disqualification petition against MLA Kadiam Srihari in the MLA defection case.
According to official notices, the hearing will take place at 11 am on Tuesday in the Speaker’s chamber at the Assembly.
Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar issued fresh notices to Kadiam Srihari, clearly mentioning the hearing schedule.
The Assembly Secretariat has also served notices directing Kadiam Srihari to appear in person.
In addition, Quthbullapur BRS MLA Vivekanand, who filed the disqualification petition, has been asked to attend the hearing.
Sources said the Speaker will first record the arguments of petitioner Vivekanand during the proceedings. The Speaker is then expected to hear the response of Kadiam Srihari.
It may be recalled that on November 20, 2025, Speaker Prasad Kumar issued notices to Kadiam Srihari and Danam Nagender in connection with the defection petitions. The notices asked them to file affidavits without delay.
However, Kadiam Srihari later sought additional time to respond. He submitted a letter to the Speaker requesting an extension to file his reply to the notices. (Maxim News)
