Special Vehicles For Fast Restoration Of Power In Hyderabad

Hyderabad, October 21: Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Monday launched specially designed vehicles for speedy restoration of power in the Greater Hyderabad limits. All the 57 divisions in the Greater Hyderabad limits will have one such vehicle to attend to emergency services.

One assistant engineer and three line staff will be deployed in each vehicle and they will attend emergency power outage issues round the clock. Each vehicle will be equipped with all necessary safety equipment like ladders, insulators, conductors and cables, earth rods, and helmets. These vehicles are capable of towing transformers and changing them in less time.

The vehicles will also have a TGAIMS (TGSPDCL GIS Asset Inspection & Maintenance System) mobile application (App) to identify defects systematically in their (33 kV, 11 kV, and LT) network.

“These vehicles can be called electric ambulances. They will help in the urgent rectification of electrical emergencies. Thus, faster and better services will be available to the users. I hope that these vehicles will provide excellent service to the people of the city,” Bhatti said.
