Sridhar Babu Emphasizes Rapid Expansion of Microsoft Data Centers in Telangana
Hyderabad, July 2 (Maxim News): IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu asked the representatives of Microsoft to speed up the expansion of data centers and ramp up operations by next year. he said that if the works are completed, Hyderabad will reach the top position in the field of data security and cloud solutions.

The Minister held a review meeting with representatives of Microsoft at the Secretariat on solving land issues related to data centers and infrastructure. Microsoft has purchased 22 acres in Mekaguda, 41 acres in Shadnagar, and 52 acres in Chandavalli of Rangareddy district. Microsoft representatives mentioned that the work on the data centers is 70 percent complete and there are some issues with the local village panchayat over the land in Mekaguda.
Sridhar Babu ordered Rangareddy District Collector K.Shashanka to solve the problem immediately. The minister assured that the capacity increase of power substations and the construction of floodwater canals will be completed within the deadline and an officer will be appointed on behalf of the government to supervise the pending works.

The representatives of Microsoft thanked the minister for getting a prompt response from the government on their issues. Ian Calan, head of Microsoft Asia Operations, Uttam Gupta, head of the Land Development Department, and Srichandana, head of India Community participated in the meeting. (Maxim News)
