Srinivas Goud warns action against drugs use
Hyderabad, Oct.24 (Maxim News): Excise and Prohibition Minister, V Srinivas Goud today stated that the government of Telangana will suppress with iron hand the drug peddlers.
He felicitated a few excise officials at his office here for seizing Rs 2 Cr worth 5 kg Mepidrin drug. He appreciated Excise DCP Vijay Bhaskar team for the seizure of the contraband. The Minister stated that as per directions of chief minister K Chandra sekhar Rao to make the state free from drugs of any kind steps are taken.
Goud said that the excise officials have prepared a plan and vigilant on such illegal activities, he said. The excise officials are making efforts to check the drugs usage in the state. He further said that the state government will not allow usage of the drugs. The Minister warned of stern action against theose involved in drugs sale and transportation. Following KCR directives the excise wing is vigilant at Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Chattisgarh borders to check drugs supply, the minister said.
He also instructed the officials concerned to eliminate in about 30 days the use and supply of drugs from Telangana state. The government will not allow illegal activities those involved in illegal usage, transportation, export or cultivation of any sort of contraband. The Minister said that the government will honour the officials concerned in this regard.
