Stampede On Yoga Day: Young Woman Faints

Hyderabad, June 21 (Maxim News): A minor scuffle broke out during the Yoga Day celebrations held at Gachibowli GMC Balayogi Stadium on the occasion of the 11th international Yoga Day. People pushed each other while breakfast was being distributed at Gate No. 2. A young woman lost consciousness in the incident.

The police, who were immediately alerted, rushed the young woman to Kondapur Area Hospital in an ambulance. The doctors who treated the young woman said that her condition is currently stable. The young woman has been identified as a nursing student of Gandhi Hospital medical College.

A large number of city people attended the Yoga Day celebrations at the Gachibowli Stadium on the occasion of Yoga Day. After completing the yoga. stalls were set up at Gate No. 2 for breakfast distribution. As the breakfast was being distributed, people suddenly went to Gate No. 2, resulting in a stampede and a fight. In this stampede, a nursing student of Gandhi Hospital Medical College lost consciousness and fell down. She was immediately taken to the hospital. Doctors said that the condition of the young woman was stable. However, the police clarified that the stampede occurred because more people came than expected.

Five thousand people participated in this program under the auspices of the Telangana government. Telangana State Governor Jishnu Dev Verma, Ministers, and many celebrities participated in the Yoga Day and performed Asanas. The Gachibowli GMC Balayogi Stadium was packed with people in large numbers. Huge arrangements were made under the auspices of the Telangana medical and Health Department for the yoga celebrations.
