State Govt Decided To Set Up “Mee Seva Kendras” In Every Village Under Mahila Shakti Scheme

Hyderabad, June 29 (Maxim News): The State government headed by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has decided to set up “Mee Seva Kendras” in every village where hundreds of government and private services are being provided online. Under the Mahila Shakti Scheme, these will be sanctioned to the women of self-help societies in the State.

Mee Seva Kendras

Collectors of all districts have recently been instructed to select the associations that will come forward for the establishment of centers. The government is planning to start these by August 15.

At present, there are 4,525 Mee Seva Kendras across the State. About three thousand of these are in cities and urban areas. While there are 12,769 Gram Panchayats in the state, only 1,500 are in villages.  People from rural areas have to go to centers in towns and cities for more than 150 government and more than 600 private activities, including Aadhaar services,  applications, and payments, along with certificates.  In this background, the government has decided to make Meeseva Kendras available under the Mahila Shakti Scheme.

Mahila Shakti Meeseva Kendras are sanctioned by the State government in the name of Village Organizations.

A loan of Rs. 2.50 lakh will be sanctioned by the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department through Srinidhi for setting up the center. With these, computers, printers, GPS, biometric devices, cameras, and internet connections should be purchased from reputed companies under the supervision of government officials. After opening the centres the respective societies have to repay the loan monthly.

Women’s Fund, Local Gram Panchayat, Government Schools, Rythu Vedika, Anganwadi Center Buildings, or other Government Buildings on their premises shall be accommodated. Meeseva Kendra has an area of 10 feet long and 10 feet wide.

Inter-passed members of respective societies are selected as your service operators.  Training will be provided by your service organization on center management and services. After that Meeseva organization will make a memorandum of understanding with the respective women’s association.

These centers provide transparent services as per the fees prescribed by the government.  Meeseva officials periodically inspect the respective centers and supervise their management.  

After selecting the operators by the end of this month, training will be provided for a month and provide infrastructure, the government hopes to start them by August 15.  (Maxim News)
