State Govt Should Give Financial Help To Staff Of Pvt Educational Institutions: BJP

Hyderabad, May 1 (Maxim News): BJP MLC N. Ramachander Rao said State government to come forward to help over five lakh employees of private educational institutions including corporate colleges who have been facing financial problems in Telangana State following lockdown as they have not been paid their salaries for the last two months.

Over Five lakhs employees are working in private schools and colleges for years together and they are totally depended on their salary for their livelihood, he said adding that teaching staff and other staff of these institutions are in the hope that the government would come forward for their help as they do not have any other means except teaching to meet their family needs.

Though the State government has taken some initiatives to help general public who are facing problems due to on-going lockdown which was again extended till May 17 to prevent spread of Corona Virus, it is not thinking about the plight of employees of private educational institutions, Rao said.

In a letter addressed to Chief Secretary, Ramachander Rao sought help and urged him to direct the state government to help these neglected employees of private educational institutions. He said the government should also direct managements of these institutions to make arrangements for making payments of their pending salaries. Meanwhile, the government should extend financial help to these families to mitigate their problems during this critical juncture on humanitarians ground, the BJP MLC urged. (Maxim News)
