State Health Secretary instructs Officials to be Cautious of Covid-19
Mancherial: State Health Secretary Syed Ali Mortaza Rizvi instructed officials concerned on Tuesday to take preventive measures to control the spread of Covid-19. He held a review meeting with authorities of health and medical, municipal and Panchayat Raj here.
Rizvi stated that though the district registered a decline in positive cases of the deadly virus, but the officials need to be cautious and discharge quality services to the people. He directed them to send reports regarding to active cases, reasons for the spread of the virus, preventive measures and details of treatment. He wanted them to complete vaccination against the virus in rural parts.
The Principal Secretary underlined the need to have coordination among officials of health and medical, municipality and Panchayat Raj for controlling the spread of the Covid-19 and for providing treatment to the infected. He told them to create isolation centres and to give medical kits to those who test positive for the virus. He instructed them to carry out surveys for identifying patients of fever and other seasonal diseases.
The public health director Dr Srinivas Rao, who was present in the meeting, told the authorities concerned to cover persons from all age groups in particular above 45 years and persons suffering from chronic diseases. He asked the officials to monitor the performance of primary health centres at regular intervals and to create awareness over strict adherence of Covid-19 guidelines among the public.
Telangana State Medical Services and Infrastructure Development Corporation Managing Director Chandrasekhar Reddy, Medical Education Director Dr Ramesh Reddy and Officer on Special Duty to the Health Department Dr Gangadhar, Collector Bharati Hollikeri, Additional Collector Ila Thripati, trainee collector Pratibha Singh, District Medical and Health Officer Dr Subbarayudu and Deputy DMHO Dr Fayaz, District Headquarters medical superintendent Dr Aravind and many other officials attended the meeting.
