State HRC To Remain Closed Till 14 April
Hyderabad, March 29 (Maxim News): In view of complete lockdown throughout the country for 21 days from March 24 midnight as declared by the Centre due to the outbreak of corona virus, the Chief Secretary has extended the lockdown period up to April 14.
Consequently, the Telangana State Human Rights Commission has decided to make partial modification to its earlier circular and issue the following direction.
To suspend the regular Judicial (court hearings) and administrative work in the State Human Rights Commission till April 14; to receive signed urgent complaints, with complete details and enclosure (scanned uploaded), through e-mail ID: [email protected] , along with brief reason for taking up the mater urgently, subject to condition that the hard copies are sent to office of the Commission through post/ person after restoration of lockdown period. Upon scrutiny of the complaints by the registry the same will be placed before the Benches, who will take up the cases from their respective home-offices for appropriate orders and intimations will be passed to the parties, advocates, through reply e-mail by uploading the order copy attested by the Secretary In-charge, and the same to be deemed as ‘true copy’ of the original order for the purpose mentioned in the order.
Similarly, Commission decided to receive reports and comments, reply through e-mail ID: [email protected] , subject to condition that the hard copies are sent to the office of the Commission through post, person after restoration of lockdown period.
All the staff members of the Commission are directed not to attend the office of SHRC, Hyderabad till April 14 or until further instructions; they need to be available on phone and attend whenever their services are required and shall not leave the headquarters. All regular matters, which stands posted during lockdown period , shall be adjourned automatically en-block to a working day and which shall be informed to the parties, advocates, departments through media and affixing circular copy at entrance of the Commission.
