Steps For Quality Education In Colleges: SK Joshi
Hyderabad, Aug.13 (Maxim News): Chief Secretary, SK Joshi today instructed officials concerned to take measures for achieving better results in all Government Junior, Degree, Technical Colleges by improving quality and standards across the state. At a review meeting with the officials at Secretariat here Joshi stressed the need for introducing new courses that will provide jobs and employment opportunities to the students.
Joshi also said that effective coordination among the officials will help achieve improved results followed by imparting better quality education. Universities have to start new courses and get NAC accreditation and complete developmental works. He said that primary schools and Angawadi centers have to cooperate with each other.
Bio Metric system for attendance has been started and online admissions have been conducted through DOST in Degree colleges and also Polycet admissions. Joshi said that Rs 152 cr civil works were completed in the colleges so far since 2014-15 and works are started in 169 technical colleges. Construction of new buildings, play grounds and others as part of improving in junior colleges across the state comprising 1,67,752 students. The Chief Secretary said that Rs 152 cr spent to improve facilities and works worth Rs 106 cr have been taken up. Quality and standards are key for improving results in the government junior colleges he added. (Maxim News)
