Steps should be taken to construct additional classrooms: Mayor
Hyderabad, August 29: Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi has asked Hyderabad District Collector Anudeep to take steps for the construction of additional classrooms in the government vacant land adjacent to the Government High School in Banjara Hills NBT Nagar. Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi along with the District Collector of Hyderabad inspected the vacant lot on Tuesday.
Speaking on this occasion, the mayor said that some people tried to alienate the vacant land next to the high school, but it was prevented. After allocating the government land to the education department, Rajya Sabha member K. Kesha Rao agreed to give Rs. 2 crore rupees for the construction of the school’s additional rooms.
On this occasion, the Mayor along with the District Collector went to the classes and spoke to the students. Speaking on this occasion, the students explained to the mayor and collector that they were facing problems due to the presence of thorny bushes and crazy plants in the empty space, due to the arrival of insects and poisonous insects. The District Collector directed the Engineer of the Infrastructure Department of the Education Department to immediately prepare an estimate and submit a report to the DEO.
