Hyderabad, Oct 22 (Maxim News): The Telangana government and RMIT University, Australia, have entered into a strategic partnership to strengthen global collaboration in the fields of life sciences education and research. The two institutions have signed a letter of Intent (LoI)
Telangana State IT, Electronics, Industries & Commerce Minister Sridhar Babu was the chief guest at the event. RMIT University Deputy Vice Chancellor Professor Catherine Itsiopoulos and Telangana Life Sciences Foundation CEO Shakti Nagappan signed the agreement. Government officials and academicians attended the event.

Recently, RMIT University, in collaboration with BITS Hyderabad, launched the “BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy”. The aim of this program is to promote advanced research, educational exchange and innovation based education between Australia and India. Through this partnership, researchers from Telangana can pursue joint PhD programs. Students will have the opportunity to complete part of their academic period at BITS Hyderabad and the other part at RMIT Melbourne. With this partnership, students and faculty will have the opportunity to exchange between the two countries. They will conduct research together. The aim is to create a curriculum that is useful for industry and strengthen research and innovation in India. (Maxim News)
