Stressed To Make All Arrangements For Peaceful Conduct Of Hanuman Vijaya Yatra On April 12: CP Anand

Hyderabad, April 9 (Maxim News): A coordination meeting was held today with officials from various government departments and the organizers of the Sri Veera Hanuman Vijaya Yatra concerning the arrangements for the event scheduled on 12.04.2025, the occasion of Sri Hanuman Jayanti.

The meeting took place at the Osmania Medical College Auditorium, Koti, Hyderabad. Officers from the Hyderabad City Police, as well as the Cyberabad and Rachakonda Police Commissionerates, attended. The meeting saw the participation of key members from Telangana Rashtra Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, and senior officials from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Roads & Buildings Department (R&B), Fire Services, Electricity Department, Emergency Management and Research Institute (EMRI), Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGRTC), Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB), Transport Department, and Health & Medical Departments.

Addressing the gathering, CV Anand Commissioner of Police Hyderabad emphasized the importance of conducting the Sri Veera Hanuman Vijaya Yatra in a peaceful atmosphere. He urged the organizers to be vigilant about any new individuals joining the procession and to promptly inform the local police as a precautionary measure. He requested their cooperation with the traffic police to avoid any traffic congestion during the Yatra.

Specific guidelines were provided to the organizers regarding the height of the idols, advising them to ensure that no idol exceeds the height of the railway bridge to avoid route diversions. He appealed to the organizers to refrain from using DJ systems during the procession, highlighting the benefits of minimizing noise pollution for the health and well-being of the public and devotees, suggesting the use of large sound boxes without sound mixers instead.

Considering the weather forecast from the Meteorological Department indicating potential rainfall on Saturday, CV Anand instructed the GHMC and the traffic police to take necessary precautionary measures. He also directed the relevant police authorities to be informed about the number of people and vehicles participating in the procession.

Furthermore, he advised the organizers to provide adequate training to their rope party members (volunteers) and to utilize their services effectively, suggesting the deployment of a greater number of volunteers. He assured that adhering to the specified route would ensure a smooth procession. The organizers were asked to verify the suitability of tusker vehicles for navigating through narrow streets in advance.

Drawing upon past experiences, CV Anand stressed the need for restraint during the return journey after the Vijaya Yatra concludes. He also clarified that the use of drone cameras is prohibited without prior authorization from the police department.

Providing an overview of the scale of the event, he informed that approximately 150 Sri Veera Hanuman Vijaya Yatras are scheduled within the Hyderabad City Police Commissionerate limits, with an additional 46 Yatras originating from the Cyberabad and Rachakonda limits, all of which will converge into the main procession. He cautioned against believing or spreading rumors and provocative or fake messages on social media. He announced the deployment of 17,000 police personnel along with additional armed forces by the Hyderabad City Police for the Sri Veera Hanuman Vijaya Yatra.

A joint control room will be established at the Hyderabad City Police Commissioner’s Office, ICCC Building, Banjara Hills, commencing operations from 8 am on 12.04.2025. This control room will serve as a central point where officers from various departments will be available to provide appropriate advice and assistance in case of any issues.

Following the meeting, CV Anand IPS DG Commissioner of Police Hyderabad, accompanied by officers and organizers from various departments, conducted an inspection of the main Vijaya Yatra procession route, commencing from Sri.Rama Mandir, Gouli Guda, and proceeding through NarayanaGuda, RTC Chowrasta, Ashok Nagar, KavadiGuda, Bible House, culminating at TadBund Hanuman Temple, covering a distance of approximately 12.2 km. All concerned officers were instructed to expedite the resolution of any issues identified during the route inspection and to address any pending work within their respective departments.

The coordination meeting was graced by the presence of Vikram Singh Mann, Additional CP L&O, Joel Davis IPS Joint CP Traffic Hyderabad, Raghu Prasad, Additional Commissioner GHMC, Raja Shekhar RTC, Sri Manohar Babu R&B, Sri Venkat, DMO Medical Department, B. Narasimha Murthy, VHP State President, Shivaramulu State Convenor, Bajrang Dal, Ramulu State Convenor VHP, Sri Akhil, VHP President Hyderabad, Sri Sai Sri, DCP Special Branch Cyberabad, Narasimha Reddy DCP Special Branch Rachakonda Police Commissionerate, and all Zonal DCPs and other officers of Hyderabad City.
