Strive hard to curb revenue losses,Naidu said to officials
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu asked officials to strive hard to check the revenue losses and suggested that EAP funds should be used in an effective manner in comparison with other states.
At a review meeting with officials here today, the Chief Minister informed that during the year 2016-17 up to March 2017, the total revenue realized by the commercial tax department is Rs 33,566.65 crore with a growth rate of 12.29 per cent. The Prohibition and Excise department achieved a growth rate of 5.88 per cent and has earned revenue of Rs 4,644.45 crore for the year 2016-17.
Mr Naidu said that negative growth rate was registered in the departments of Registration, Stamps and Forest. In comparison to the previous year, the growth rate fell by -4.01 per cent in revenue from Stamp duty and registration.
