Strong Objections From Both Public And Political Leaders Of Re-Division Of Wards In GHMC

Hyderabad, Dec 15 (Maxim News) There are huge objections from the people and political parties against the delimitation of wards in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). There are reports that more than 2,000 objections have already been received. These objections are being accepted after the release of the preliminary notification increasing the wards under the GHMC. However, BRS MLAs and corporators are complaining that the delimitation process was done unscientifically and that population criteria, geographical convenience, and community boundaries were not taken into account, which is causing injustice to some areas.

BJP corporators expressed anger that the division of wards was done arbitrarily. On the other hand, there is excitement about tomorrow’s special council meeting. It is understood that BRS and BJP corporators are ready to confront the officials on the division of wards. Meanwhile, GHMC officials said that they are considering the objections received so far and will study them on the ground before taking a final decision. (Maxim News)
