Student Arrested Under Rape Charges | Meerpet Police

Meerpet, May 14 (Maxim News): The sleuths of Meerpet police arrested Chejarla Gopi involved in Rape case Vide Cr. No. 354/2018 U/s 376(2), 366, 342, 506 IPC and Sec 5(m) r/w 6 of POCSO Act-2012 on 14.05.2018

Details of the accused persons

1: Chejarla Gopi S/o Venkanna age 19 yrs, Caste: Pusala, Occ: Student R/o H. No. 7-185, Huda Colony, Lenin Nagar, Meerpet Village, Balapur Mdl, RR Dist N/o Burkacharla Village, Mothe Mdl, Suryapet Dist

On a complaint from Smt. Potla Cheruvu Shobha, W/o. Krishna, age. 30 yrs, caste. Goud, Occp. House wife, r/o. H. No. 7-188, Huda Colony, Lenin Nagar, Balapur mandal, Ranga Reddy District in which she stated that since four year she along with her family was staying in the huda colony.

Her brother’s daughter/victim was raising by the complainant due to her mother was died in her childhood. The victim was studying 3rd class in Govt. Hostel.

The complainant brought the victim to home due to summer holidays. On May 11 the victim told to the complainant that the accused Gopi brother (who was neighbor of the complainant) asked her to bring bottle of cool/fridge water.

Later the victim did not come to the house on which the complainant went to the Gopi house where she found Gopi and victim in one bedroom where victim pant was opened. Then the complainant asked the victim where she told that the said Gopi forcibly took her in to the bed room and he lie down the victim on the bed and removed her pant and he also removed his short and slept on her and forcibly touched her virgin with his penis and he closed her mouth while shouting and did not let her to come out.

She also told that at the time of Sankranthi festival holidays when he went to bring her brother from one minor house where he also forcibly took her in to the bed room and he lie down the victim on the bed and removed her pant and he also removed his pant and slept on her and forcibly touched her virgin with his penis and also threatened her with dire consequences. She requested to take necessary action against Gopi and one minor boy, police claimed in a media release.

Basing on police registered a case in Cr. No. 354/2018 U/s 376(2), 366, 342, 506 IPC and Sec 5(m) r/w 6 of POCSO Act-2012 of PS Meerpet.

During the course of investigation here on Monday the accused Chejarla Gopi was apprehended at Huda Colony, Lenin Nagar. (Maxim News)
