Students at Madarsa suffering with skin diseases in old city Hyderabad
Hyderabad, Jan 27 (Maxim News): Children of economically weaker sections who study at madarsas are living in poor health and hygiene to say the least.
In a madarsa, near charminar, where HHF conducted a screening camp on request found 104 students out of 260 all aged between 7 and 12 years, suffering with Scabies an infective and contagious skin disease caused by tiny mites.
While Helping Hand Foundation (HHF) has initiated the treatment and personal care and hygiene for the next 15 days with aid of our panel doctors and our volunteers – what is sad is the poor health, hygiene and sanitation in the seminaries, where these children come to learn the Quran.
We don’t know if many more such institutions of reverence have similar stories to narrate said Mujtaba Hasan Askari of HHF. (Maxim News)
