The Governor was virtually addressing the students on the topic of “Grand Vision for Youth in India” organised by the Silver Oaks International Schools on their Student Self-Government Day, from the Raj Bhavan, here on Monday.
Exhorting the students to enjoy the habit of book reading, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan reminisced that her father inculcated the book reading habit in her by presenting Swami Vivekananda book when she was in 4th standard.
The Governor urged parents and teachers to present books to their children and encourage them read non-academic books too.

Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan also emphasized on the need to practice Yoga and meditation to improve their concentration and read the everyday lessons on the same day and likened it as we take food every day to satiate our every day hunger.
The Governor wanted the children to respect the elders in the family and protect the nature and natural resources and told them not to waste any resource including the time, the most precious of all. One must enjoy one’s studies and enjoy the nature and have a clear vision. I would like to see students from our country emerge as the global leaders in their chosen fields.
