Hyderabad, Jan.3 (Maxim News): Students Union leaders of Kakatiya University today obstructed State Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao and MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy during their visit to the university.
The Minister came to the University to Garland the statue of Savithri Bai Pule on the occasion of her birth Anniversary incident took place during the visit of the minister the activists laid before the vehicle of the minister and prevented him from moving ahead in the university. They also raised slogans against the minister and the MLC on the occasion.
This has also led to tense movements for some time in the university. The police enters the scene and dispersed the activists and took them a nearby police station. Later the minister went to the statue of Savitri Bai and garlanded it.
Speaking on the occasion, the activists lashed out at the minister and the MLC and said that they did not have any right to venture into the university. They alleged that MLC Rajeswar Reddy never cared for the problems of the students despite the fact that he won the elections with their votes. They also alleged that the MLC instead of solving their problems got permissions from the state government to run his own private university. (Maxim News)
