Kavitha’s lawyer Kapil Sibal took the matter to the court saying that the ED’s behavior and the current developments are deeply disappointing. He said that she was called as a witness and again as an accused in this case. It is stated that there is not a single strong evidence against Kavitha and the investigation of the case is going on based on the statement given by the appropriator.
Responding to this, the bench made it clear that they are not going into the merits of the case at present. They said that they cannot grant bail and they have to approach the lower court first. The bench said that the petitioner has that freedom. It has been revealed that since the issues related to violation of the constitution have been raised in this petition, it is being added to the already filed Vijay Madan Lal case.
