Suryapet Road Accident | Hyderabad, Jan. 18 (Maxim News): Former MLC and Telangana Jagruthi president K Kavitha reacted to the fatal car accident in Suryapet district and described the loss of two teachers as deeply tragic.

Taking to X, she expressed grief over the incident that occurred on the outskirts of Arvapalli village and raised concerns over the lack of insurance security for government and contract employees.

Kavitha said the road accident claiming the lives of two teachers was extremely painful. She pointed out that the Chief Minister had earlier announced a Rs 1 crore insurance cover for government employees.

However, she said the government has not yet finalised clear guidelines or procedures for its implementation. Therefore, families continue to face uncertainty during such tragedies.

Meanwhile, Kavitha stressed that contract and outsourcing employees work on par with government staff. She said they continue to serve without job security or equal pay for equal work.

According to her, these employees also face serious risks during duty but receive no assured financial protection for their families.

She further said that if any mishap occurs during service, families of contract and outsourcing workers are left without even basic security.

Therefore, she demanded that the government extend the Rs 1 crore insurance benefit not only to government employees but also to KGBV teachers, contract staff and outsourcing workers.

Referring to the Suryapet accident, Kavitha demanded immediate release of Rs 1 crore insurance compensation to the deceased government teacher and the KGBV SO who lost their lives. She urged the Chief Minister to respond without delay and issue a clear announcement on the insurance policy.

Later, she expressed deep condolences to the families of Kalpana and Geetha Reddy, who died in the accident. She also wished a speedy recovery for the two teachers who were injured and hoped they would return home safely.
