Appointment Delayed Several Times

The VC post had been vacant since May 21 last year. The government tried several times to fill the position, but the process was postponed twice due to technical issues.

Even though a search committee met on January 27, the appointment was delayed again due to the Legislative Council Election Code. However, the government has now finalized the appointment.

Until now, Balakishta Reddy, Chairman of the Council of Higher Education, had been serving as interim Vice-Chancellor. (Maxim News)
