Eid-ul-Fitr

Hyderabad, April 12 (Maxim News):  Muslims across the State celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr, on Thursday. The festival is celebrated on the 1st day of the tenth Hijri month of Shawwal marking the end of the holy month of Ramzan.

The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu greeted fellow citizens on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr.

With Eid-ul-Fitr is likely to be celebrated today and the shopping spree has already picked up, and with round-the-clock hectic business activity, the police have formed teams to tackle pick-pocketers and other offenders.

President Ram Nath Kovind on Monday appealed to people to "rededicate" themselves to the "service of humanity and to improve the lives of the poor and the needy" on the auspicious occasion of Eid.
