Health Minister T Harish Rao has informed that a total of 2,200 additional MBBS seats will be added to Telangana by launching eight new colleges this academic year.

Health Minister T Harish Rao said the State government is taking eloborate steps to encourage the normal deliveries and curb the practice of conducting unwanted cesarean sections at government and private hospitals in Telangana.

Health Minister T Harish Rao called upon doctors and health workers to raise awareness about the benefits of breastfeeding for both babies and their moms and take up a campaign for encouraging the mothers in a big way in this regard.

Health Minister T Harish Rao said the Asha workers should work sincerely and show more dedication while discharging duties.
