TRS President K Chandrashekar Rao on Friday decided to support the combined Opposition candidate, former Union Minister Margaret Alva in the Vice-President election to be held on Saturday.

NDA presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu is leading against Opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha after the end of the first round of counting of votes which started at 11 a.m. on Thursday.

Yashwant Sinha, a former Union Minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led NDA government, was today named the joint opposition candidate for President polls. The BJP is yet to announce its pick for the July polls.
