Hyderabad, Oct. 1 (Maxim News): A cannabis plant was found on the Osmania University campus in Hyderabad, raising concerns over how it came to grow inside the university premises.
Students reportedly spotted the plant in one area of the campus. Its discovery has led to questions about whether it grew naturally or was deliberately planted by someone.

There is currently no clarity on how the plant reached the location. Some students have raised the possibility that it may have grown from a seed discarded from a cannabis cigarette. Others suspect that cannabis seeds may have been deliberately left in the area.
However, these remain possibilities and have not been established. The exact origin of the plant would need to be determined through an official inquiry.
Osmania University Campus Search Demanded
The discovery has also triggered questions about whether similar plants could be present in other parts of the campus.
Student leader Saidulu Yadav has demanded a comprehensive inspection of the Osmania University campus. He said authorities should not limit their action to removing the plant found at one location.
Yadav also called for checks in other parts of the campus to determine whether more such plants are present. He urged university authorities and police to investigate how the plant reached the campus.
He further sought scientific examination of the plant to establish its identity and determine whether it grew naturally or was deliberately planted.
The development has raised concerns about the campus environment and student safety. Further action by university authorities and police is now awaited.(Maxim News)
