Hyderabad, Nov.5 (Maxim News): Final rites of woman Tahsildar Vijaya Reddy were performed with State honours at Nagole public cemetery in the city on Tuesday.
The official was allegedly murdered by a farmer one Suresh on land issue in her office on Monday.
Husband of the victim Subhash Reddy lit the pyre of his wife Vijaya Reddy, while police fired guns into air as last respect to the departed woman Tahasildar.
Earlier, the body was taken in a procession from their house in Kothapet near Dilsukhnagsar. A large number of Revenue officials and employees participated in the procession and shouted slogans against the State government. Rachakonda CP Mahesh Bhagati, representatives of people’s organizations joined the procession. MLA Sudheer Reddy, TJS president Kodandaram and others attended the funeral. (Maxim News)
