Tamil Producer Arrested In A 2000 Cr Drug Trafficking Case
Delhi/Chennai/Hyderabad, Feb 25 (Maxim News): The Delhi Police and Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) conducted a joint operation and busted an International Drug network. The police found that a Tamil Film Producer from Tamil Nadu was the key mastermind in this road. The police revealed that he is presently absconding.

Police said that this drug network has spread to India, New Zealand, Australia and Malaysia. In this operation, three persons were arrested in Delhi. It is said that 50 kg of pseudoephedrine was seized from them. It has been found that it is being smuggled through some goods under the guise of food items like health mix powder and dry coconut.
Officials revealed that they have sent a total of 45 consignments in the last 3 years, in which there is about 3,500 kg of pseudoephedrine. He said that its value would be more than Rs. 2,000 crores in the International market. Moreover, the police revealed that they have contacted the authorities of New Zealand and Australia to arrest the accused in those countries to attack the entire network.

Meanwhile, pseudoephedrine is used to make methamphetamine. It is the most sought after drug worldwide. It is sold in Australia and New Zealand for Rs. 1.5 crore per kg. (Maxim News)
