Tamilisai turns Raj Bhavan as party office: Jeevan Reddy

Hyderabad, June 11 (Maxim News): Terming the Telangana Governor’s Mahila Darbar as a political darbar, TRS MLA Jeevan Reddy accused Tamilisai Soundararajan of turning the Raj Bhavan as a party office.

Speaking at a press conference here on Saturday, the TRS MLA said that Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan had set a bad precedent in the politics by organising the political event at the Raj Bhavan and such kind of practice was nowhere in the country.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has been resolving all the problems related to the Telangana and is delivering the best administration beyond the expectation of people. At this juncture, there is no need for the Governor to conduct a Praja Darbar at Raj Bhavan, he pointed out.

Reminding the statement of Narendra Modi when he was the Chief Minister for Gujarat, said that only those people who are not affiliated to any political party should be appointed as the Governors and the implementation of Sarkaria and Punchhi Commissions, Jeevan Reddy alleged that the Prime Minister was working completely the contradict what he said earlier and was appointing purely BJP leaders at the constitutional posts.

The TRS MLA said if BJP leaders feel that it is nothing wrong conducting the Praja Darbar at Raj Bhavan, they should allow the respective Governors to organise the same Praja Darbar in the BJP ruling States across the country.

“The Telangana Government is following all protocol norms and there are no issues in this regard with the Governor. But, Tamilisai Soundararajan is deliberately making the protocol subject as an issue. If she wants to make the every matter as contraversy, she should better to join the BJP,” Jeevan Reddy added.
