Tamilisai’s visit to Bhadrachalam to assume significance

Hyderabad, July 16 (Maxim News): Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan‘s proposed visit to the flood-hit areas in Bhadrachalam district on Sunday will be assuming significance amid the widening gap between the Pragati Bhavan and the Raj Bhavan.

Soundararajan’s decision surprised many on Saturday and it came few hours after the announced schedule of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao who will be conducting an arieal survey of the flood affected areas from Kadem Project in Nirmal district to Bhadrachalam on the Godavari river basin on Sunday.

Actually, Tamilisai is scheduled to visit New Delhi on Saturday, where she attends a dinner to be hosted by President Ram Nath Kovind.

However, she has cancelled her New Delhi trip and announced the tour of Bhadrachalam on Saturday.

Governor Tamilsai will travel by train from Secunderabad railway station on Saturday night and will reach Bhadrachalam on Sunday morning.

During her visit, Tamilisai will interact with people of the flood affected areas and enquire about the assistance being provided by the State government.

In fact, the differences cropped up between Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan over nomination of TRS leader Padi Kaushik Reddy as MLC under Governor’s quota and the tussle between them has been going on since then.

However, after a gap of more than eight months, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has recently called on Governor Soundararajan at Raj Bhavan during the swearing in ceremony of newly appointed High Court Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan. Both have exchanged pleasantries and wished each other.

At this juncture, Tamilisai’s visit to Bhadrachalam on the same day of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao conducting the arieal survey in the flood hit areas in Bhadrachalam has become a hot topic among political circles. (Maxim News)
