Teenmaar Mallanna Announces New Party to Unite BCs, Sparks Political Heat in Telangana

Hyderabad, July 13 (Maxim News): In a move that could reshape the political landscape of Telangana, Congress MLC Teenmaar Mallanna has announced plans to launch a new political party with a mission to unite Backward Classes (BCs) across the state. His declaration comes amid ongoing tensions with BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha and her supporters, intensifying the political atmosphere.

Speaking to the media on Saturday, Mallanna said the primary objective of the new party would be to give a strong and unified voice to BC communities, which he believes are underrepresented in political power. “This party will not just speak for BCs—it will work to bring them into leadership roles and decision-making positions,” he stated.

Rising Tensions with Kavitha Over BC Movement

The announcement comes on the heels of a heated dispute with BRS MLC Kavitha, who has been spearheading a BC movement under the Telangana Jagruthi banner. Mallanna has openly criticized Kavitha’s efforts, calling them superficial and politically motivated. In response, angry Jagruthi activists stormed Mallanna’s office in Medipally, vandalizing property and reportedly threatening staff.

In a dramatic turn during the attack, Mallanna’s gunmen fired five warning shots into the air to disperse the mob. While no injuries were reported, the incident raised serious concerns about political violence and the security of elected representatives.

A New Front in Telangana Politics

Mallanna’s decision to float a new political party—centered around BC empowerment—has drawn significant attention. With Assembly elections a few years away, political analysts believe the move could fragment vote banks and create new alliances or rivalries in the state.

Though Teenmaar Mallanna continues to serve as an MLC under the Congress banner, his independent stance and outspoken activism have often placed him at odds with party leadership and other political groups. This new party, if formalized, is expected to attract a base of disillusioned BC voters and community leaders.

Call for Social Justice and Representation

“The time has come for BCs to rise politically. We cannot remain sidelined while others dictate our future,” Mallanna asserted. He emphasized that his party would promote social justice, transparency, and equitable development, especially for communities that have long been ignored in state politics.

While no name has yet been announced for the new party, Mallanna promised that a formal launch would be organized soon, with community consultations to shape the party’s agenda.
