The agriculture sector in Telangana witnessed a remarkable turnaround in four years and it deserved every award that it had won so far, said the Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy today.
The Minister received the India Today award for “State with rapid Agriculture Growth” in Delhi in the day. Later addressing the gathering, he said the prime intention of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao in reaching out to farmers in every possible way was to ensure that they would emerge as role models by making agriculture a remunerative activity. The programmes and schemes launched by the State government had considerable impact on the profession, he said.
