Hyderabad, April 3 (Maxim News): IT Minister KT Rama Rao today claimed that Telangana has become a “Rice Bowl of India” as it produces a huge 52.76 lakh acres of paddy as the state surpasses neighbouring Tamil Nadu which produces less than half of paddy yield.
The Minister participated in development programs in the Siricilla segment he represented and vowed to develop the districts. KT Rama Rao inaugurated two bedroom houses for the poor, and started a Rythu Vedika in Mustabad area in the segment.
Speaking on the occasion he ridiculed that the Congress rule built some box type tiny houses for the poor which failed to serve the purpose.
However the TRS Regime of KCR builds the 2BHK each at a cost of about Rs 5.70 lakh with all facilities. Each house costs more compared to the houses built in the Congress regime before bifurcation he said. More than 6000 houses of 2BHK are allotted to this segment and the beneficiaries will get them on completion. The minister claimed that the TRS rule has addressed several issues in the state which were not done by the successive governments in the past 75 years. He also said that the Congress and the BJP ruled states are away from development compared to Telangana which is forging ahead in all sectors.
The centre though giving awards to our programs, is reluctant to give funds and support to our development, the minister said.
The minister claimed that after achieving Telangana state we are providing water to crops, 24 hours power to farming activities, two bedroom houses for the poor for self respect and completed irrigation projects by spending huge funds. (Maxim News)
