Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, while presenting the budget in the Assembly, declared drug use a “dangerous epidemic” and vowed to protect the state’s youth, especially students, from its clutches. The Telangana Anti-Narcotics Organization will receive increased resources and improved facilities to enhance its effectiveness. : A strict approach will be taken against drug trafficking and consumption, with no room for leniency.

Anti-drug committees will be established within educational institutions, empowering over 4,000 students as “anti-drug soldiers” to spread awareness and combat drug use among their peers.

Cybersecurity Measures: The budget allocates funds to bolster cybersecurity measures. Minister Vikramarka emphasized the importance of a secure environment in attracting investments to the state. Key initiatives include:
Equipping the Cyber Security Department: New vehicles will be provided to this department to enhance their responsiveness and effectiveness in tackling cyber threats.

Modernizing Police Training: Police personnel will receive training in advanced techniques for investigating cybercrime, ensuring they are equipped to handle this evolving threat.
