Telangana CM banners in Varanasi

Hyderabad, March 04: The initiative launched by the TRS President and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to build a better India appears to have found resonance among people from different parts of the country. This is evident from the flexi banners that adorned the cities of Mumbai, New Delhi, Varanasi and now Ranchi, which Chandrashekhar Rao visited.

Perhaps anticipating the visit of TRS president in Varanasi to campaign for the Samajwadi Party in the ongoing Assembly polls, scores of flexi boards came up in Varanasi segment on Friday. Incidentally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi represents Varanasi in Lok Sabha. Supporters of Rao’s proposal for a better India, painted the temple town in pink with flexi banners in every nook and cranny, welcoming him to Varanasi on Thursday itself.

‘Welcome to Telangana Chief Minister KCR ji to Uttar Pradesh’ – read the posters and banners. Flex boards were put up at all vantage points according a big welcome to the TRS President. Apart from flex boards, huge cut-outs of Rao have also appeared at several places. The flex boards and posters also listed out various schemes being implemented in Telangana, indicating that such schemes could be replicated in Uttar Pradesh, if Samajwadi Party came to power. But Varanasi was not on the itinerary of Chandrashekhar Rao.

Similar scenes were witnessed in Ranchi when the Chief Minister visited the city on Friday. Flex boards were put up at several major junctions and also along the roads from the Ranchi airport to the Jharkhand Chief Minister’s official residence, terming him as ‘Achiever of Telangana State, Visionary of Bangaru Telangana, Desh ki Netha and National Federal Front leader’.

This is not new as similar flex boards were erected during Chandrashekhar Rao’s visit to Mumbai where he called on his Maharashtra counterpart Uddhav Thackeray and Nationalist Congress Party president Sharad Pawar. A large number of flex boards and posters adorned the streets of New Delhi a couple of days ago.
