Following the orders, N Swetha will continue as Deputy Commissioner of Police in Hyderabad city. Meanwhile, R Bhaskaran will remain in charge as Superintendent of Police for Civil Intelligence. Kalmeshwar Shingenavar and Rohini Priyadarshini also hold important assignments within the department. The government decided to retain officers in their present postings to ensure administrative continuity and operational stability.

However, as per the orders issued by the Chief Secretary, all six officers will formally assume DIG rank responsibilities from January 1, 2026. Until then, they will continue in their existing roles while remaining empanelled for promotion. This approach allows a smooth transition without disrupting ongoing policing operations.

Additionally, the decision underscores the Telangana Government’s emphasis on structured career progression. With these promotions, the police department expects improved supervisory oversight and stronger command at the district and city levels.
