Telangana Govt’s Big Order for Ramzan: Shops Allowed to Operate 24/7 from March 2 to 31

Hyderabad, Feb 21 (Maxim News): The Telangana government, led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, has allowed shops and establishments across the state to operate 24/7 from March 2 to March 31 to accommodate the needs of people during the holy month of Ramzan. District collectors have also been directed to make necessary arrangements for Ramzan celebrations.

Government adviser Mohammed Ali Shabbir expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for issuing the order well in advance, giving businesses and authorities enough time for planning and smooth implementation.

Shabbir Ali also urged officials to prioritize infrastructure upgrades at major religious sites, including Mecca Masjid and Royal Mosque in Hyderabad. He emphasized the need to replace worn-out carpets and ensure that CCTV cameras are fully functional to enhance security during the festival.

He further highlighted the importance of providing essential services during Ramzan, urging the government to ensure:

  • Proper sanitation across key areas.
  • Uninterrupted water and power supply.
  • Effective law and order arrangements to ensure peaceful fasting and prayer gatherings.

Shabbir Ali assured that he would continue to monitor preparations to ensure all directives are effectively implemented for the smooth observance of Ramzan. (Maxim News)
