Telangana Imams And Muezzins Honorarium Released
- Honorarium sanctioned for 16,187 Imams and Muezzins in Telangana
Hyderabad, Oct 15: The Telangana Waqf Board has announced the release of honorarium funds for Imams and Muezzins across the state.
The total amount sanctioned is Rs.24,26,85,000, covering 16,187 beneficiaries for the period from June 2025 to August 2025.
The release has been made by the Government of Telangana and the Telangana Waqf Board.
According to the press note, the honorarium covers three months and is meant for Imams and Muezzins serving in mosques across Telangana.
The statement addresses dues for the months of June, July, and August 2025. The Waqf Board presented this as part of its ongoing support to religious functionaries in the state.
Syed Azmatullah Husseni, Chairperson, Telangana Waqf Board and CEO of Telangana Waqf Board Mohd. Asadullah, conveyed thanks to the Chief Minister, the Deputy Chief Minister, and the Minister for Minorities Welfare for facilitating the release.
He expressed gratitude on behalf of the Board and noted the importance of timely honorarium disbursal to Imams and Muezzins.
Meanwhile, the Board emphasized that the funds are intended to reach the designated beneficiaries statewide.
