Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi president K Kavitha on Saturday made travel arrangements for about 153 persons who returned from Bahrain, to reach their native places in the districts of Nizamabad, Kamareddy and Jagitial. They arrived in Hyderabad on June 27 and completed their institutional quarantine.
The Telangana natives went to Bahrain for livelihood, but got stranded in the foreign land during the COVID-19 lockdown after their employers refrained from extending any support to them to return to their hometowns in Telangana State. However, Kavitha learnt about their ordeal and took up the issue with Indian Embassy in Bahrain who in turn made travel arrangements for 153 persons to return to Hyderabad.
Upon their arrival, the workers were kept in the institutional quarantine at Adibhatla and were released on Saturday. With the help from Telangana Jagruthi, they returned to their native places in four buses.
