Telangana Minority Parents Urged to Enroll Wards in TGMREIS for 2024-25

Hyderabad: The Secretary of Telangana Government Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGMREIS), Aisha Masrath Khanam has appealed to the parents of minority candidates to admit their wards in TGMREIS schools and junior colleges in the state.

Speaking to press persons, the Secretary said that despite all the efforts of the Minorities Welfare Department and the Educational Institutions Society since January 2024, still there are vacant seats of over 25 thousand in the institutions, she said that 92864 candidates have been admitted from Class V to 1st and 2nd year of Intermediate in the total seating capacity of 1,20,280, still there vacant seats of 27,416 in this academic year 2024-25.

She also appealed to the public representatives, NGOs, and all other social organizations to admit the children in these Minorities Residential Institutions, though there is a quota for nonminorities students, which has been almost filled, if there are more they can be admitted the Right to Education Act, she said admission cannot be denied under this Act, she said.

Giving the details the sanctioned quota for Minorities students is 90,224 out of which minority students admitted 63,271, and nearly 27 thousand seats are vacant, while in the Non-Minorities quota, the total sanctioned quota is 30,056 out of which almost filled with 29,593.
The Class V sanctioned quota is 14,520 admitted 13,192, Class VI quota is 14,520 admitted 11,971. Class VII sanctioned 14,600 admitted 12,359, Class VIII quota 14,840 admitted 12,175, Class IX quota 14,760 admitted 11,103. Class X quota 14,680 admitted 10,180. First-year Intermediate Course sanctioned quota is 16,180 admitted 12,093 and 2nd-year Intermediate Course sanctioned quota is 16,180 admitted 9791. she said.
