Telangana MLC Election Results: BJP Candidate Leads In First Round, Fight Between BJP And Congress In Elimination Round 

Hyderabad, Mar 5 (Maxim News): The counting of votes for the Karimnagar-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Medak graduate seats is still ongoing. The results, which were expected to be announced by midnight on Tuesday, are not yet out. Moreover, the results of this election are creating more excitement. The fight is going on between the BJP and Congress candidates.

As everyone expected, the BJP candidate got the first preference votes. However, since no one got the quota confirmation votes, the counting of second-preference votes has begun. While BJP candidate Anji Reddy (75675 votes) is in first place in the first preference votes, Congress candidate Narender Reddy (70565 votes) is in second place, and BSP candidate Prasanna Harikrishna (60419 votes) is in third place.

As no one got the quota votes in the first preference votes, the officials have made arrangements for the counting of the second preference votes. The second preference votes will be carried forward and counted according to the elimination method. The results of the Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Adilabad, and Medak graduate MLC elections are likely to be announced by this evening.

There is a three-way contest for the post of MLC for graduates of Karimnagar-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Medak. Anji Reddy came in first place, Narender Reddy came in second place, and Prasanna Harikrishna came in third place. Since no one got the quota votes, the officials will finalize the election of the candidate through the elimination process. That is, the candidate in third place will be eliminated.

According to the elimination method, the second preference votes will be carried forward and counted. In this way, the officials will announce the victory of the candidate. (Maxim News)
