Telangana Police Tighten Surveillance On Child Abuse Content
Hyderabad, Jan. 5 (Maxim News): Telangana Police have intensified monitoring of child abuse content on digital platforms, Director General of Police Shivadhar Reddy said on X on Monday.
He stated that strict action is underway to protect children online. He added that the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau has set up a dedicated Child Protection Unit to handle such cases.
According to the DGP, the unit registered hundreds of cases related to Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse Material in 2025 alone.
He said police have made a large number of arrests under these cases.
Telangana Police crackdown on child abuse content
Shivadhar Reddy warned that viewing, storing, sharing, or uploading child abuse content is a serious criminal offence. He said Telangana Police follow a zero tolerance policy toward crimes targeting children.
Shivadhar Reddy urged citizens to immediately report any information related to cyber crimes involving children.
Reddy said public cooperation is essential to curb the spread of such content and ensure child safety online.
The DGP reaffirmed that monitoring on social media and other digital platforms will continue with greater intensity.
