Telangana Politics Sees Shock Alliances in Civic Polls: Congress, BRS, BJP, AIMIM Forge Surprise Ties

Hyderabad, Feb. 16 (Maxim News): : High voltage drama in Telangana politics has finally settled after the mayor and chairman elections concluded across municipalities.

All four major parties treated the municipal elections as a prestige battle.

Now, it is clear which parties secured the key posts. However, the alliances formed to capture these positions have triggered fresh debate across Telangana Politics.

For months, parties attacked each other fiercely. Leaders traded sharp words and accused rivals of hidden understandings.

Yet, when results emerged in several municipalities, equations changed quickly. Therefore, parties that once criticised each other joined hands to gain control of civic bodies. These sudden tie ups have surprised political observers and party cadres alike.

Telangana Politics | B Team Allegations Take New Turn

The main parties in the state, Indian National Congress, BRS, BJP and All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen, have long accused each other of playing B team politics. These charges shaped public perception in recent elections. However, the municipal verdicts forced unexpected cooperation.

In Kamareddy, Congress and BRS came together. Meanwhile, in Amarchinta, BRS and BJP joined hands.

In Aliabad, BJP and Congress united. Similarly, in Ellampet, BJP extended support to BRS.

In Nizamabad, Congress secured the post with AIMIM support. As a result, rivals who once exchanged harsh criticism now collaborated for power. Future Political Impact Under Watch

Although alliances in local body elections are not new, recent political rhetoric in Telangana has been intense.

During the last Assembly elections, claims surfaced that BRS and BJP were working together. Later, BJP leaders cited the arrest of Kavitha and highlighted their Lok Sabha success to counter that narrative.

Against this backdrop, the new municipal alliances have created uncertainty.

Therefore, questions now arise about whether these partnerships will remain limited to municipalities or extend to the state level. Moreover, voters may reassess past accusations and political attacks in light of these developments.

Telangana Politics has entered a new phase. The durability of these alliances remains unclear.

Ultimately, time will determine how these shifting equations shape the state’s future political landscape. (Maxim News)
