Telangana Rain: Heavy Rains to Lash from Afternoon to Midnight on August 11
Telangana Rain | Hyderabad, August 11: The Telangana weather man has issued an alert for moderate to heavy rainfall across multiple districts of the state from Monday afternoon till midnight.
According to the forecast, heavy downpours are expected in Rangareddy, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Jogulamba Gadwal, Nalgonda, Yadadri-Bhongir, Mahabubabad, Khammam, Hanamkonda, Bhadradri Kothagudem, and Mulugu.
In Hyderabad, the weather will remain dry until around 1–2 PM, after which moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in several parts of the city. Some areas may record 25–55 mm of rainfall, potentially causing waterlogging in low-lying zones.
Telangana Rain:
Overnight, as predicted, southern and eastern districts such as Rangareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Narayanpet, Khammam, Suryapet, Yadadri-Bhongir, and Vikarabad witnessed intense showers.
The rainfall brought relief from the heat but also raised concerns over traffic congestion and drainage overflow in some areas.
The next two hours will see non-stop moderate rains in Gadwal, Wanaparthy, and Nagarkurnool, while scattered showers are likely in Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nizamabad, and Jangaon.
Authorities have urged residents to stay alert, avoid waterlogged roads, and follow safety advisories during the ongoing monsoon spell in Telangana.
