It may be recalled that the state government has increased the previous treatment limit of Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh with Aarogyasri cards. In this background, it is known that it has been decided to replace the old Arogyasree cards with new ones. There are 89,98,546 food safety cards across the state. In the common state, the ration card was like a small book. It contained the name and age details of the family members along with the photo of the owner of the family. After that, ration cards in Rythu Bandhu passbook size were issued instead. There was a group photo of the family members on the front, the details of the family members on the bottom, the address and other details on the back.

Later, ration cards were replaced by food security cards. This one-page card contains only the card number, card holder, family members, ration shop and card number without photos of the owner and family members. Now it is known that the state government will discuss the issue of how the new card should be after the completion of the election code.  (Maxim News)
