Telangana registers 317 Covid positive cases, Most in GHMC

Hyderabad, Jan 1: The daily new Covid-19 infections have continued to rise in Telangana with the health department on Saturday reporting 317 new infections on Saturday.

A total of 217 Covid positive infections were reported from areas under GHMC, according to the health bulletin.

Apart from 317 Covid infections, there were two fatalities on Saturday, taking the cumulative number of deaths to 4029.

The total number of positive cases so far in Telangana has reached 6, 82, 215 while the number of active cases as on Saturday was 3,733.

The authorities on Saturday conducted 28, 886 Covid tests of which results of 2, 557 samples were awaited. A total of 232 individuals have recovered with a recovery rate of 98.86 per cent on Saturday.

So far, a total of 2, 97, 37, 578 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 6, 82, 215 have tested positive and 6, 74, 453 persons have recovered.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included one each from Adilabad and Bhadradri Kothagudem, 217 from areas under GHMC, two from Jagityal, six from Karimnagar, three from Khammam, four from Mahabubnagar, six from Mahabubabad, two each from Mancherial and Medak, 18 from Medchal-Malkajgiri, one each from Nalgonda and Narayanpet, two from Nizamabad, 26 from Rangareddy, seven from Sangareddy, three from Siddipet, one each from Suryapet, Wanaparthy and Warangal Rural, six each from Hanumakonda and Yadadri Bhongir.
