Telangana Rising Global Summit A Major Success Says PCC Chief
Hyderabad, Dec. 10 (Maxim News) : Telangana PCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud stated that the Telangana Rising Global Summit was a major success and brought significant investments to the state.
Mahesh Kumar Goud said the outcome of the summit triggered concern among BRS leaders, including Harish Rao, who questioned the achievements of the programme. Addressing the media at the CLP office, he asked how many investments had come during the previous ten year BRS rule.
Goud said the summit demonstrated the vision and long term planning of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He stated that both domestic and international investors responded positively, which he described as a sign of confidence in the state.
Mahesh Kumar Goud added that the Congress government was ready for a public discussion comparing ten years of BRS administration with the two years of the current government.
He announced that the government would fill the positions of corporation chairmen and board members by the end of this month.
New PCC working presidents and campaign committees would also be appointed. Speaking about his own role, he said contesting from Nizamabad as MLA had been the decision of the high command and he was satisfied with his responsibilities.
Goud said the party would allot land for its activities in Future City. He demanded that Harish Rao make his stand clear on employee related matters. According to him, several sectors in Telangana suffered during the BRS tenure, while the last two years witnessed measurable progress in administration, welfare, and development.
Mahesh Kumar also alleged that comments made by Kavitha were an attempt to divert attention from financial irregularities.
Goud urged the Chief Minister to order an inquiry into the allegations. Goud said Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge had extended their wishes to the summit.
Mahesh Kumar Goud described Fourth City as a historic development and said Future City would become a multi sector hub. He stated that national attention had now shifted towards Telangana.
Mahesh Kumar added that the government was committed to good governance, expanding the metro network, and improving the Musi riverfront.
Goud said unanimous election of gram sarpanches was not a routine matter and noted that ministers were monitoring the local body elections.
Mahesh Kumar said the polls were progressing peacefully. He criticised the Prime Minister for using political rhetoric over the Vande Mataram issue and stated that Priyanka Gandhi had already clarified the historical role of the Congress party.
Mahesh Kumar Goud alleged that tampering and vote theft were more prevalent under the BJP despite EVMs being introduced during Congress rule. He added that the country’s present strength was the result of the vision of Jawaharlal Nehru.
